Skrine Regatta Charity dragon Boat Race

Day 151 - 849 days to go

Today I took part in a very fun and meaningful event - a charity dragon boat race at Putrajaya organised by Skrine. Dragon boat race requires strong arm and hence we thought we have better advantage with more male members. However, we were beaten flat in the first heat despite the fact that they have more female team members that our team. From the event, some takeaway for our improvement in other events:

  1. There are many factors contribute to the success of a project, event, person, etc. As long as we do not master the most critical factor, we will lose to others or may not succeed.
  2. Team work is the most important factor to the success of a team event or project, in general.
  3. Experience is another critical success factor that may overcome certain weaknesses of a team.
  4. Luck is also very important in a competition. Sometimes one wins merely due to the weakness or mistake of the competitor as not because the winner is strong.
Happy events:

  1. Took part in a charity event.
  2. Mom has been coping well after dad passed away for one year. Hope to have more time with her.
  3. Met up with a ex course mate and offered with a career advancement opportunity.
Creativity: Lots of interest in lots of areas is very important to get new idea and contribute to creativity

Many a times I get idea triggered by an idea learned rather than applying an existing idea itself.
