Product Launching

Days 24 - 976 days to go

Today I went to trek/jog in the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve just opposite my company. So near yet so far as many people who have been working around this are not aware there is such a place in the heart of KL. Maybe the authorities do not want too many visitors to visit this forest so that it will be least disturbed and hence preserved. Maybe there are other reasons.

However, it is a common phenomenal in many industries that many good products and services are not used widely due to many reasons. One of the most common reasons is that people are not aware of their existence. Similar to a good man or woman stays single for life unnoticed. In other words, no matter how good a product or service is, without good publicity activities, the success rate is almost equal to zero. In sum, create awareness is a very important step in a product launching campaign.

Of course, create awareness is the first step. There are many other important steps that need to be taken such as educating potential users about the benefits of using the products or the losses or risks of not using the products.

One of the best ways to promote something to somebody is to show how much he can gain from using the products for his immediate or foreseeable benefits. People will pay whatever price to buy something as long as the perceived value is greater than the price. Therefore, it is not how cheap or expensive is the price asked but it is how much value can be derived by paying the price that counts.
