To me, creativity is a skill that can be developed over time. In other words, creativity is not a inborn trait rather it is a learned skill. There are a few factors that will make or break the level of creativity:
- Inspiration is key to creativity. In other words, there must be some kinds of trigger or catalyst that will result in higher level of creativity
- Learn, unlearn and relearn - keep on learning new thing is the most effective way to be creative
- Learn a wide verity of knowledge. Strategy, methodology, principle, philosophy etc from one industry can be applicable to a new industry and hence lead to creativity
- Luck. Yes, luck is part of any success formula. Nevertheless, a very practical definition for luck is "Preparation meet opportunity"
Happy Events:
- Went for a hill trekking in the morning and went for a run in the rain after work. Felt great and fit.
- Gain back my inspiration for writing.
- Started a very interesting and challenging work relationship with my new MA who will be in my department for 6 months. He is a very dynamic, confident and smart young man. I am glad that he applied to my department after some "fact finding" about me?
